RTE parameterization issue

I'm having an issue when using the RTE protocol in VuGen.  I need to have a parameter list for multiple users, however I cannot find a way to do this. I've tried the below which was suggested in another HP board but I think it's been patched as it no longer works:

TE_type({UserName});

TE_type("");

Any/all help is appreciated. Thanks.
