It is not working because you are not using the API correctly.

You should call:

LR.getParam("ParameterName");

Where ParmeterName can be:

1. configured in VuGen's Parameter Dialog beforehand
2. set in RunTime using LR.setParam()
3. created automatically using the replace with parameter from TruClient UI
