Citrix session hangs after installing LR Agent on the Citrix server

Hi, 

 

I'm trying to create a Citrix script using Citrix/ICA protocol. I'm successful in creating a script AS IS and I'm also able to replay successfully however based on the recommendation from HP, I asked my administrator to install the "SetupCitrixAgent64" available inside the 'Agent for Citrix Server' in the LoadRunner installation directory. 

 

After the install, I've tried recording the script but have not been successful when trying to capture using the recording toolbar the "sync_on_text", after which the Citrix session just hangs (the screen doesn't render itself correctly either). When I try recording without using the "sync_on_text" feature on the toolbar, I'm able to record the session intermittently (some of the times the Citrix just hangs otherwise). 

 

I raised a ticket with HP Support - the support engineer asked me to disable DEP and asked me to install the 11.50 patch. I've tried both without any luck yet. If anyone has faced a similar scenario and can advise how to avoid the issue, I'd appreciate it.. Also please suggest if we do not use the sync_on_text function, what other ways do we have to enable verification checkpoints in the script (I understand the 'sync_on_bitmap' is generally not recommended). 

 

I'm using LR 11.52 and Citrix server version is 6.5
