Load Runner Flex: invalid character Reference error

I am developing LR scripts for a flex application. There is dynamic variable (user session related), which I am correlating by capturing it using lr_xml_get_values. This variable value consists of few special(extra special) characters, it looks like this:

##x89;_##x18;îß##x95;'¯##x12;##x2;úÿ 2 ÆÈvEËÝaS##x87;l##x2;Ó³y##xc;##x2;`¾##x13;##x89;##x84;##x9b;X©Cø9##x2;±P##x91;##x13;×Pµ³o;M##x82;##x86;##x9e;##x18;##x12;¾2óc6

Every few iterations (~3 out of 5) I am running into an error:

Action.c(123): Error: Fast query failed - reason: Invalid character reference (line 1, col 1530). [class:CLrXmlScriptFunc] [MsgId: MERR0]
Action.c(123): Error: "lr_xml_get_values" execution failed [MsgId: MERR-109994]

It looks to me as if Load Runner is not able to read/interpret some of these characters.

Has anyone ever run into such an issue? Is there some kind of plugin that I should add that will help LR read these characters?

Any input is appreciated.

I am using LR Vugen and HP ALM 11.0.

Thanks,

SN
