What is the use of Browser Emualtion option in LR run time settings?

Hi All,

I saw some where below comments about browser emulation,

1) LoadRunner is to test the server side, if you need to test the client side (with different browsers, for example), we should use QTP
2) LoadRunner, emulating the user interactions, will put load on the server and you'll measure how it reacts. But if you need to test client side "behavior" on different browsers, LoadRunner will not help you.

at that time what is the use of browser emulation seetings available in lr runtime settings?

i am recording my script in firefox i want to execute same script in IE also ?
