We have created scripts in VUGen 12.02 (Few things were not working in VUGen 11.52 hence we moved to 12.02)and trying to run into PC 11.52 and getting same error as above.

We tried to increase timeout mentioned above to 900 sec and still getting same error message, any more options?

Could some one please help me to resolve my issue?

Actually, I tried different VUsers (10, 15, 20, 25, 30 and 40) load test for my POC. The protocol which i used was "RDP protocol" (only single protocol) and the loadrunner software is demo version. The load runner version is 12.2.

I am seeing few users failed while trying to RDP into that server. This is not happening for all the users. I am getting interminent failure. Here are the failure message

Error -202898:Action.c(6) ErrorInformation relevant for customer support LR Rdp Connect Server selected unsupported protocol.17

I also attached the failure screen shot.

When i reply the script it works perfect. i did not see any failure. Any one experienced this issue in the past?.. If yes, please let me know how to fix it.

I'm getting the following error when attempting to submit a web service call using the Web Services protocal:
HTTP/1.1 415 Cannot process the message because the content type 'text/xml; charset=utf-8' was not the expected type 'application/soap+xml; charset=utf-8'.)

I read elsewhere that this could be due to a SOAP version conflict.
SOAP v1.1 uses text/xml while SOAP v1.2 uses application/soap+xml.
Is this correct?
Is that the problem?

I am using Loadrunner 11.52. Does it support SOAP v1.2?

These message looks not enough to identify the cause. You can try contact the AUT server side to know what these message mean. You can also check the transferred data and check whether there're other dynamica values not correlated in header.

If the error message is correct, it looks like server choose ot use HYBRID_EX mode for some sessions. To verify that, you can take a cap file using MS network monitor. It can parse RDP connection data and find what encryption level is choosen by the server. Considering the messages might be messed up inside same mmdrv process, you can try run this scenario using Process mode.

I have script created in TruClient - IE protocol and I have defined transaction as below.

Start Transaction

- Click on OK (Which will submit data to server, Action – Dialog Confirm, End Event configured as “Action Completed”)

End Transaction

Does above transaction will capture client side time i.e click action + Server response time?

I am trying to pass a full xml statement as a paramater and see that this was resolved. What did your paramater file look like? Do I need to make any changes to the xml (insert double quotes) to make loadrunner be able to process the file?

I am trying to record an internal oracle application (11g) using loadrunner 11 on IE 9

the problem i'm having is that, loadrunner does not recognize the oracle window at all. It sees and records the webpage but not the oracle window. Can someone please help

Hey Chris, I never got it to work with IE9. Once I upgraded to IE10 the problem magically went away.

You're correct, this is known issue in LR 11.52, it was fixed in LR 12.x.

Please follow these steps to overcome this problem in LR 11.52:
- Extract the SetContentType.zip and copy the dll to %LR_PATH%\bin
- Go to script directory, open the file "default.cfg" with text editor (e.g. notepad), go the end of the file and add these 3 lines:

[UserHandler]
Name=SetContentType
Args=application/soap+xml; charset=utf-8

(You can change the content-type based on your purpose)

- Run script again

I've looked at the PAM screenshot that you provided, and it's a bit misleading. The important thing about the Ajax C&S protocol is that it's only supported for IE8 and IE9 (and *not* for the later IE versions). So, as far as OS versions go, any version, on which you'll manage to install IE8 or IE9, will be compatible with this protocol.

It seems like server response time will not be measured in this case. If you wish to measure also server response time, include additional step that reflects the change as a result of clicking OK in that dialog. For example a wait for object step that looks for an object that appears only after clicking OK.
