can you also paste the part of your code where you call the parameter?

also, just so I understand correctly, you are running several TruClient scripts, each running several dozens of Vusers (summing up in 100) - correct?

this may be the reason why you don't have enough information in the dat file. you mentioned that your application only allows one user to login one time and does not allow that user to login again.

so you may have exhausted your Vusers as defined in your dat file quite fast.

Hi

If I understand correctly, assuming that I have 100 of vuser value in the dat file and I also assigned 100 vuser to perform the load test.

assumming that each vuser take 1 unique value, it should be just enough to segregate to all of the vuser.

Correct me if I'm wrong

Hello All,

1) There is only one VuGen, that is included into LoadRunner and ALM/PC.

2) Same patch contents are delivered as different patches according to a product where VuGen is used.

3) ALM/PC and LoadRunner Controller use totally the same VuGen scripts

Controller error during executing a scenario of C VUser script imported from SeeTest using NV

I recorded a script using Experitest SeeTest Automation tool for mobile performance testing and then copied the code to C Vuser protocol in HP loadrunner. The script passed without any error and scenario execution was also successful.
But when I used NV in controller for scenario it stops and gives me following error.
1. C:\\Program Files (x86)\\HP\\LoadRunner\\include/ic_api.h(2218): Error: Could not connect to Network Virtualization - onConnect function failed resulting in error=Invalid client IP: ''.. Scenario will run without Network Virtualization.
2. C:\\Program Files (x86)\\HP\\LoadRunner\\include/ic_api.h(2218): Error: Could not connect to Network Virtualization - onConnect function failed resulting in error=Invalid client IP: ''.. Scenario will run without Network Virtualization.

 

Note: Controller executes fine without NV

Please help me out with the issue.

How to record a multi Protocol script using TruClient Ajax - IE and Citrix-ICA protocols in LR 12.00

Threre is one application. First we need to open web url to login to the Citrix storefront by Citrix reciever. After we logging into the Citrix store front, from there we need to launch few applications like notepad and mspaint.

After logging into the Citrix storefront thorugh web URL we need to open Windows 2008 R2 GPD and Windows 2012 R2 GPD. After connecting to the Window GPD's, from there again we need to launch few applications like notepad and mspaint.

I thought of doing it using multiprotocol  (TruClient and Citrix). but in multi protocol list TruClient is not there.

Anybody have any idea how to create a script for this scenario using multiprotocol.

Hi,

TruClient does not support multi protocol combination.

You mentioned that you login through Citrix ICA web front. Why TruClient cannot handle that without Citrix protocol?

Also, after launching a few applications do you invoke a browser? and if you do where it is being invoked, on the remote machine?

I am trying to understand why it cannot be addressed by one of the protocols. What "forces" the need in the combination

Getting error in replay the script after parameterize username and password

Error:

Action.c(165): Error -26547: Authentication required, please use web_set_user, e.g. web_set_user("domain\\user", "password", "host:port"); [MsgId: MERR-26547]
Action.c(165): Error -26630: HTTP Status-Code=401 (Unauthorized) for "abc some url" [MsgId: MERR-26630]

 

I tried with this code still getting error.

my_host = lr_get_host_name( );

web_set_user("{Username}", "{Password}", "my_host:8080");

Hi All,

I am not able to launch the web application in Truclient IE. I have tried with differnet proxy settings but i am not able launch the application. I am not using any security software in my local machine, i make changes in the control panel. Following changes i have done in my system

My Computer -> System Properties ->Advanced Tab -> Performance section ->  settings -> Data Execution Prevention ->

i have selected this option "Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select" then i am able launch the application in web protocol after restart but i am not able to launch the application in the Truclient IE borwser. Vugen installed as administartor beacause i am getting " Global Cache Error " this error blocks me install the vugen so i have installed as administartor. 

 

Is the there any solution to launch the application in the Truclient IE?

what to do when i get a Global Cache error? can you please suggest an alternative to install the vgen   when pops this error

can you please suggest any solution ...........

Hi Lital,

That issue has been resolved. Changed the end event type to "DOM content loaded" and set the scripting level at 2. 
The script is running well now in the Vugen replay mode. 

But when I uploaded the script on to HP PC, now it is failing while running over the HP PC.  Need your suggestions.

Upgrading from 11.52 to 12.5

We currently have LR 11.52 and theer is a request to upgrade to 12.5

There have been concerns that our scripts developed in the earlier version may not work in 12.5, I am trying to quantify this concern and would appreciate any feedback to inform the decision to upgrade or not.

Correlating application/octet-stream type values in loadrunner?

Hi,

I have recorded a jnlp client side application with fiddler tool and imported into LoadRunner.

 

Response value in codegeneration log is identified as x00\\x00\\x01S\\xA7\\xC1\\x8F\\xD1t\\x00

And in the script view, the request value is shown as  \x00\x00\x01S½5\x04\x14ur\x00

 

Both the value has to be same if we need to apply the correlation concept. But due to application/octet-stream content type, the above binary/headecimal values are generating?

 

Please let me know if anyone face the above issue . Did anyone applied the conversion format for the same?

Could you please explain in detail about the issue. 

 

For 500(Internal server error), You couldn't have correlated the dynamic value in request (or) passing wrong url.

This error will be thrown from the server end after validating your request sent.

Hi,

Change the proxy settings in Runtime settings to custom mode and provide the proxy server , port , username and password.

Can you specify more on the issue, like what type of application are you recording, what version of LoadRunner you are using, and any detail that can give information about the application you are trying to record and about your LoadRunner

Hello,

Unfortunately according to HPE policy we are not allowed sharing this type of information.

I can tell that Edge browser does not support running multiple instances yet. It was built as modern Windows application and as such it allows only one instance, which means we cannot mimic more than one Vuser.

In addition, Edge browser does not support extensions yet (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10/extensions-in-microsoft-edge).

Both limitations make it very challenging to support it in TruClient.
