Hello,
I am working with HP VUgen 11.52 P1. When making the transistion from developing a script to creating a loadtest with it in PC, I noticed that my scripts created in TruClient IE10 were run in the English language although they were created on a development environment with the Dutch language.
I noticed that HP VUGen will take the OS locale settings language notation for display of the UI language in the browser when running in develop script mode. I expected it would take the language setting of the browser itself, set via internet options. Of course there is no way to set this when being in develop script mode, but I expected it would copy the settings from the regular IE internet options which were set beforehand.
In my development environment the OS locale was set to Dutch and IE language was set to (only) Dutch. When running a script in develop script mode the browser window would show Dutch.
On the Load Generator the OS locale was set to English(US) and IE language was set to only Dutch. When running a script in develop script mode on the LG, the browser window still shows English, but if I manually browse to the web app via regular IE, I will get Dutch language.
Fortunately I noticed this in an early stage, but I can imagine that this could be unpleasant if I would have spent a lot more time preparing scripts in my local environment and afterwards discover that I have to script large parts again because of the OS locale langauge difference.
I don't think I can easily change the OS locale of the LG to Dutch, because number format notation is different from English(US) and it will probably screw up interfacing with Sitescope.
To me it seems like a possible bug or lack of implementation. Is HP considering improvement on this subject?
Regards,
Peet
