'Replay using running SAPlogon application' option instructs the Vusers to use the SAPlogon application that is currently running for replay.
And you mentioned, when disable this option, you got error after sapgui_grid_double_click_current_cell function.
As sapgui_grid_double_click_current_cell function emulates a user double-clicking on the currently selected cell.
So I assume that if you dont's check this option then when replaying, it will create a new SAP session, so the following function can not find the currently selected cell.
