I'v been having the same issue since update to 12.53 was done. I'v attached the only error I managed to get. Recording new scripts using Chrome browser instead has allowed a workaround.
Our setup includes LR full installation in a VM running Windows Server 2012 R2 datacenter with 32gb memory, 8 cores, SSL authentication to our test environments via a proxy server. In Runtime Settings - Proxy, identify the Proxy Users file and add a valid username/ password under the Authentication tab. Also, in each script, use 'web_set_sockets_option("SSL_VERSION", "TLS ") call. Obviously, if you are using SSL version 2, 3 or TLS1.1 or TLS1.2, you would use that in the webcall.
Strangely, once I'v made a recording using Chrome, I can change the reply browser back to IE 11 and it works. I reported this months ago ( in another post ) but have given up getting an answer as to this issue from HP. Hope this helps.
